Basketball Recap: North Port Comes Up Short

North Port was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 66-63 heartbreaker at the hands of the Imagine School at North Port Sharks. The Bobcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Sharks apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2023.

Imagine School at North Port found their leader in sophomore Zahmir Jackson, who went 10 of 23 en route to 29 points along with seven boards and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Jackson has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Peyton Rassbach, who posted ten points and six assists.

North Port's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Imagine School at North Port, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

North Port will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Lemon Bay at 7:00 p.m. As for Imagine School at North Port, they will head out to take on Cardinal Mooney at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Cardinal Mooney will roll in looking for their 15th straight victory, something Imagine School at North Port surely won't give up without a fight.
