Devine came out on top against Uvalde on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run seventh inning. The Warhorses / Arabians walked away with a 6-2 win over the Coyotes. The victory continues a trend for the Warhorses / Arabians in their matchups with the Coyotes: they've now won nine in a row.

Sam Zamora spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on eight hits and racked up seven Ks.

At the plate, Devine let Kenny Cruz and Maddy Hester run wild. Cruz went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, one triple, and one run, while Hester went 3-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. That's the most stolen bases Cruz has posted since back in May of 2025. Karsyn Deleon was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one home run.

Devine hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are 10-2-1 when they post two or more strikeouts.

Devine's win bumped their record up to 16-12-1. As for Uvalde, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-13-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Devine is set to challenge their familiar foe Carrizo Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Uvalde will take on rival Somerset at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
