Who's up and who's down

No Margin for Error

The Windsor offense has been a force to be reckoned with this season, and last week was no different. It won a game that couldn't get any closer, slipping by Skyline 56 - 55. The outcome was a definite jolt of excitement for Windsor after its previous game, where the margin was anything but close. The razor-thin margin made this game the most thrilling one of the week.

This Week's Top Game

One of the hottest tickets last week involved the clash between Pomona (2nd in the power rankings) and Chaparral (15th). Pomona kept its opponent Chaparral off the scoreboard entirely, winning the match 34 - 0. One major factor in the victory was the play of junior true, who tossed the ball for 117 yards and two TDs.

Surprise!

Despite a sizeable disparity in the state rankings (many positions), the underdog ended up as the top dog in the contest between Platte Valley and Weld Central last week. Platte Valley picked up a decisive 'W' against Weld Central, finishing up at 46 - 6. As a result, Platte Valley rose two spots in the power rankings.
