Basketball Recap: Southside Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Southside, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 58-43 victory over the Lafayette Christian Academy Knights on Monday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Sharks considering their 27-point performance the matchup before.

With the win, Southside broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-6. As for Lafayette Christian Academy, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-5.

Southside will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on David Thibodaux at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Lafayette Christian Academy, they will be taking part in a tournament against Scotlandville at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday.
