Eldon won against California on Saturday with four runs and decided to stick to that total again on Sunday. The Mustangs came out on top in a nail-biter against the Pintos and Lady Pintos, sneaking past 4-3. The victory is more of the same for the Mustangs, who have now won six matchups in a row.

Eldon has now won eight of their last nine games on the road. That's given a solid lift to their 13-7 record this season. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 0-4 Marshall and 7-17 California (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 17.7% over those games). As for California, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 16 of their last 18 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-17 record this season.

Eldon didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 4-2 win against Owensville on the 28th. As for California, they will take on Blair Oaks at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
