Football Game Preview: Franklinville/Ellicottville/West Valley Central vs. Salamanca

On Friday Salamanca take on Franklinville/Ellicottville/West Valley Central at 7:00 PM. Salamanca is expected to win -- but not by much -- so they will need to come into the contest prepared for a fight.

Salamanca took care of business in their home opener. They managed a somewhat close 26-20 victory over Cattaraugus-Little Valley. The score was all tied up at the break, but Salamanca was the better team in the second half.

Meanwhile, Franklinville/Ellicottville/West Valley Central had to hit the road for their first game, and unfortunately the road hit them back. They suffered a grim 8-35 defeat to Southwestern last Friday.

Salamanca's win lifted them to 1-0 while Franklinville/Ellicottville/West Valley Central's loss dropped them down to 0-1. We'll find out if Salamanca can add another positive mark to their record or if Franklinville/Ellicottville/West Valley Central can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Salamanca's step.
