Soccer Game Preview: Green Mountain vs. Leland & Gray

Green Mountain is 8-2 against Leland & Gray since October of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Grizzlies will take on the Rebels in a tournament on Saturday. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.

Green Mountain headed into their last game having not scored more than one goal for three straight, but Otter Valley let them put that streak behind them. The Grizzlies blew past the Otters 5-1 on Friday. The win was a breath of fresh air for Green Mountain as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Leland & Gray). They put the hurt on Rivendell Academy with a sharp 5-1 victory on Friday. Lucas Gleason had the honor of scoring the game-winner for Leland & Gray.

Leland & Gray's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Green Mountain, their victory bumped their record up to 2-5.

Everything went Green Mountain's way against Leland & Gray in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as Green Mountain made off with a 7-1 win. Do the Grizzlies have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rebels turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
