Baseball Recap: Sam Rayburn Triumphs

Sam Rayburn won the last time they faced Ector and things went their way on Thursday too. The Rebels came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 5-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Rebels.

Booker Binford spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on five hits and racked up six Ks.

On the hitting side, Sam Rayburn let Jaxson Throneberry and Jamison Dorris run wild. Throneberry went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs, while Dorris went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That's the most hits Throneberry has posted since back in March.

Sam Rayburn's win bumped their record up to 14-8. As for Ector, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-7-1.

Coming up, Sam Rayburn will host Trenton at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Ector does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
