Basketball Recap: South Comes Up Short

South lost against Bishop Carroll back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The South Titans took a 59-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bishop Carroll Golden Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Titans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 244th, while the Golden Eagles are ranked 113th).

South is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7. As for Bishop Carroll, their win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South will host West on Friday. As for Bishop Carroll, they will welcome Southeast at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Southeast knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Bishop Carroll likes a good challenge.
