Softball Game Preview: Dyersburg Trojans vs. Obion County Rebels

The Dyersburg Trojans will challenge the Obion County Rebels at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Monday, Dyersburg needed a bit of extra time to put away Covington. They were the clear victors by a 16-8 margin over the Chargers. The Trojans haven't had any issues with the Chargers recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

While Obion County didn't have the best season last year (they finished 5-12), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They had just enough and edged out Gibson County 2-1.

Dyersburg's win bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Obion County, their victory bumped their record up to 6-4.

Dyersburg took their win against Obion County in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 7-1 score. Will the Trojans repeat their success, or do the Rebels have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
