Softball Recap: Hillsboro Comes Up Short

Hillsboro fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Glen Rose on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 7-5. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2016.

Hillsboro saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was H Craig, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

Hillsboro's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hillsboro will look to takes advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on Mildred at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Glen Rose, they will take on Saginaw at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday.
