Calumet Christian extended their winning streak (dating back to last season) to seven on Monday, bumping them up to 6-0. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Whiting Oilers. That's more bragging rights for the Patriots, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Among those leading the charge was Alexa Rentas, who had 12 digs and two aces. That's the most digs she has posted since back in October of 2024.

They weren't the only good server: Calumet Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 20 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Whiting only served two aces.

Having lost for the first time this season, Whiting fell to 3-1. The loss put an end to their undefeated start to the season.

Despite the loss, Whiting still got an impressive performance from Sophia Perez, who had 11 digs. Perez has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more digs the last three times she's played.

Coming up, Calumet Christian will challenge Victory Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Patriots' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Whiting, they have already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Chicago Washington on the 27th.
