Recap: Southeast Bulloch Yellow Jackets vs. Benedictine Cadets
After flying high against the Bryan County Redskins last Saturday, the Southeast Bulloch Yellow Jackets came back down to earth. Southeast Bulloch took a 60-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of Benedictine on Friday. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Southeast Bulloch in their matchups with Benedictine: they've now lost four in a row.
It was another big night for Caleb Jones, who scored 34 points along with six rebounds and two steals for Benedictine. That makes it three consecutive games in which Jones has scored at least a third of Benedictine's points. Houston Jackson was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with five assists and two steals.
Southeast Bulloch's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Benedictine, their victory was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-3.
Southeast Bulloch will take on Burke County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Benedictine, they will head out on the road to square off against Wayne County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wayne County will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 447th, while Benedictine is ranked 170th).
