Volleyball Recap: New Bern Christian Academy Has No Trouble Against Varsity Opponent

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Liberty Christian Academy, New Bern Christian Academy was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They blew past Varsity Opponent 3-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 last Friday.

One reason for the win was New Bern Christian Academy's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-7, 25-6.

Alli Anderson paced New Bern Christian Academy's offense, picking up seven kills. Anderson got some help from Susan Williams and her 13 assists. Jamie Lavoie controlled things from the service line, finishing with 14 aces.

New Bern Christian Academy has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.

New Bern Christian Academy will take on Jacksonville Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Varsity Opponent has already played their next match (against Founders Classical Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
