Basketball Game Preview: Luling Eagles vs. Karnes City Badgers

Luling and Karnes City are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2017, but not for long. The Luling Eagles will welcome the Karnes City Badgers at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Luling is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Stockdale just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Friday. They lost to the Brahmas on the road by a 54-39 margin.

Meanwhile, Karnes City was beaten by Poth 74-42 on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Badgers in their matchups with the Pirates: they've now lost seven in a row.

Luling's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 13-14. As for Karnes City, their loss dropped their record down to 15-12.

Luling didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Karnes City in their previous matchup on January 10th, but they still walked away with a 55-50 win. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Karnes City's Savion Nixon-Thompson, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 14 boards.
