Volleyball Recap: Kimball Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Kimball managed to slip by Maranatha Christian Academy the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Cubs lost 3-0 to the Mustangs on Monday. The Cubs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mustangs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Kimball was not able to win a set, but it sure wasn't from a lack of trying: every set was decided by exactly two points. The final score came out to 25-23, 26-24, 25-23.

Mazie Jurek paced Kimball's offense, picking up 12 kills. Jurek got some help from Bree Johnson and her 28 assists. Jurek was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Kimball has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season. As for Maranatha Christian Academy, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Coming up, Kimball will take on Maple Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Maranatha Christian Academy, they will be playing at home against Concordia Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
