West Linn  took care of business in their home opener  (and then some) on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by  a  17-1 margin over the Grant Generals. The Lions have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Generals, too.
 Avery Wolf made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   tossing two innings while giving up just one earned run off   one  hit. That's the fewest  hits  she has allowed since back in April of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box,  going a perfect 2-for-2 with four  RBI.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Emery Curtis, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 3-for-4. That's the most  hits  she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was  Meg Allen, who  scored three  runs while  getting on base  in all three of her plate appearances.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Linn will head out to  challenge Silverton  at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Grant, they will head out on the road to  take on  Sandy  at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday.
