Volleyball Recap: Jazlene Brady Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat San Luis Obispo Classical Academy

Cabrillo not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 17, 2024 (when they won 3-0). Everything went their way against the San Luis Obispo Classical Academy Grizzlies as they made off with a 3-0 win. For the Conquistadores, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 victory the Grizzlies walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August of 2024.

Cabrillo never let San Luis Obispo Classical Academy on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-11, 25-23.

Cabrillo's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jazlene Brady led the charge by getting six digs and three aces. What's more, Brady racked up nine assists, the most she's had over her last seven contests. Another player making a difference was Madison Foss, who had 11 digs.

They weren't the only good server: Cabrillo was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 19 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Cabrillo has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-7 record this season. As for San Luis Obispo Classical Academy, they dropped their record down to 0-4 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Cabrillo wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Atascadero on the 27th. San Luis Obispo Classical Academy has also already played their next contest (against Valley Christian Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
