Baseball Game Preview: Pine Prairie Panthers vs. Port Barre Red Devils

The Pine Prairie Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Port Barre Red Devils at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Pine Prairie is headed out to face Port Barre after opening their season at home and giving their fans just what they were looking for. Pine Prairie skirted past Bunkie 3-2.

Port Barre not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 13, 2025 (when they won 12-2). They put the hurt on Ascension Episcopal with a sharp 13-6 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Red Devils considering their one-run performance the contest before.

The team relied heavily on Bailey Rideaux, who went 3-for-4 with three runs and three RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Sebastian Stoute was another key player, going 3-for-5 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Pine Prairie skirted past Port Barre 5-3 in their previous matchup back in February of 2025. Do the Panthers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Red Devils turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
