Soccer Game Preview: Troy-Buchanan vs. Howell

The Troy-Buchanan Trojans will venture away from home to challenge the Howell Vikings at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday.

Troy-Buchanan is likely headed into the match with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Howell Central on Thursday. Troy-Buchanan fell just short of Howell Central by a score of 1-0. Troy-Buchanan haven't had much luck with Howell Central recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Meanwhile, Howell had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They skirted past Fort Zumwalt West 2-1. The game was the first time Howell have beaten Fort Zumwalt West on their pitch since May 13, 2019.

Troy-Buchanan now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Howell, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.

Troy-Buchanan suffered a grim 6-0 defeat to Howell in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can Troy-Buchanan avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
