Basketball Recap: South Fork Comes Up Short

South Fork was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 83-81 heartbreaker at the hands of the Hayfork Timberjacks. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (59), the Cubs still had to take the loss.

Levi Cavalli continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Hayfork, almost dropping a double-double on 24 points and nine assists. The dominant performance gave Cavalli a new career-high in assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Tatem Wiley, who posted 21 points and four steals.

South Fork suffered their first home loss, dropping their record down to 9-7. As for Hayfork, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-3.

South Fork has already played their next match (against St. Bernard's), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Hayfork has also has no score uploaded for their next game, this one against Redding Christian.
