Soccer Game Preview: Schaumburg Christian vs. Christian Liberty

The Schaumburg Christian Conquerors will square off against the Christian Liberty Chargers at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Schaumburg Christian's last four contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Schaumburg Christian is likely headed into the matchup with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Mooseheart on Tuesday. The Conquerors fell just short of the Red Ramblers by a score of 1-0. David Boyarshinov was hit with a yellow card, which may have had some impact on his (and the team's) ability to make aggressive plays.

Meanwhile, Christian Liberty's match on Thursday was close up to the half, but then they kicked things up a notch. They were the clear victors by a 4-1 margin over Mooseheart. The win made it back-to-back victories for Christian Liberty.

Schaumburg Christian's loss dropped their record down to 10-3-1. As for Christian Liberty, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 3-5.

Schaumburg Christian was able to grind out a solid win over Christian Liberty in their previous matchup back in September, winning 2-0. Do the Conquerors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Chargers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
