Basketball Game Preview: Hebbronville Longhorns vs. Falfurrias Fightin' Jerseys

Hebbronville is 1-9 against Falfurrias since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Hebbronville Longhorns are taking a road trip to take on the Falfurrias Fightin' Jerseys at 7:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Hebbronville is headed into Tuesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Friday. They lost 68-44 to Bishop. Even though they lost, Hebbronville smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 13 offensive rebounds in four consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, Falfurrias came up short against San Diego on Friday, falling 72-47. The Fightin' Jerseys have struggled against the Vaqueros recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Falfurrias' loss dropped their record down to 17-12. As for Hebbronville, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-19.

Things could have been worse for Hebbronville, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 56-40 loss to Falfurrias in their previous meeting back in January. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Falfurrias' Quisto Sanchez, who went 7 for 16 on his way to 27 points and four blocks.
