It was a good run, but Oswego unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-match winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of the Plainfield North Tigers by a score of 2-1. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Oswego came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 44th, while Plainfield North are ranked 141st).

Oswego's loss dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Plainfield North, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-9-1.
