Basketball Recap: Vandalia Takes a Loss

Vandalia was the 59-49 winner over Staunton when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Vandalia Vandals fell to the Staunton Bulldogs 49-43. The Vandals' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

Vandalia's record now sits at 4-7. As for Staunton, they pushed their record up to 8-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Vandalia will be taking part in a tournament against Cumberland at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Staunton, they and Calhoun will face off at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Staunton is facing Calhoun at the right time seeing as Calhoun is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
