Volleyball Recap: Madison Comes Up Short

Madison lost against Granite City back in August and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Trojans took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-14.

Among those leading the charge was Camerin Corley, who had 17 assists and four aces. Those 17 assists gave her a new career-high. Lucy Klumpp also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

Madison's loss dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Granite City, their record is now 5-16-1.

Looking ahead, Madison will face off against Murphysboro at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Granite City, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Althoff Catholic on the 21st.
