The Alexandria Valley Cubs will face off against the Cherokee County Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Alexandria knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 31 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Cherokee County likes a good challenge.

Alexandria is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Ashville, posting a 56-13 victory. The result was nothing new for the Valley Cubs, who have now won four matchups by 27 points or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Cherokee County, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They strolled past Hokes Bluff with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 24-10.

Alexandria better keep an eye on Keyshawn Woods. He was instrumental in Cherokee County's win, rushing for 311 yards and one TD while picking up 9.1 yards per carry. Those 311 rushing yards gave Woods a new career-high.

Cherokee County pushed their record up to 6-2 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 9.4 points on average over those games. As for Alexandria, their win bumped their record up to 6-1.
