Volleyball Recap: Presley Worthington Key Part of Team Effort in Titans Win

Syracuse had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Bountiful on Friday. The Titans put the hurt on the Redhawks with a sharp 3-0 win. The Titans were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Redhawks, so the Titans were just returning the favor.

Syracuse got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Presley Worthington out in front who had eight digs and two aces. The dominant performance also gave Worthington a new career-high in assists (four).

Syracuse is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. As for Bountiful, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Syracuse will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Layton at 5:00 p.m. on the 16th. As for Bountiful, they will challenge Alta at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
