Nicholas County is a perfect 6-0 against Robertson County since March of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Bluejackets will welcome the Black Devils at 7:45 p.m.

Nicholas County came into this matchup off a tough 15-run defeat on Thursday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of West Carter by a score of 8-6 on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Bluejackets have suffered since April 27, 2024.

Madelyn Amburgey and Natalie Mitchell did some serious damage despite the final result: Amburgey went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run and one RBI, while Mitchell got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one double and one RBI. That RBI marked the first that Amburgey has brought in this season. Isabella Ramey was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.

Robertson County never got on the board in their matchup on April 9th, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Augusta on April 12th. They put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 14-4 victory. The win was some much needed relief for the Black Devils as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Nicholas County has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-16 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Robertson County, their victory bumped their record up to 2-7.

Nicholas County took their win against Robertson County in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 20-1 score. Will the Bluejackets repeat their success, or do the Black Devils have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
