Volleyball Recap: Mexia Comes Up Short

Mexia lost against Ferris back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Black Cats fell just short of the Yellowjackets by a score of 3-2. The Black Cats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mexia took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 21-25, 24-26, 25-22, 15-6.

Mexia now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Ferris, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Mexia will take on Bynum at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ferris, they will square off against Keene at 10:50 a.m. on Thursday.
