Basketball Game Preview: Stuttgart Ricebirds vs. Forrest City Mustangs

Stuttgart and Forrest City are an even 3-3 against one another since November of 2015, but not for long. The Stuttgart Ricebirds will head out to square off against the Forrest City Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Friday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Stuttgart beat Southside 56-51. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Ricebirds.

Meanwhile, Forrest City entered their tilt with Lonoke on Friday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Jackrabbits 73-28. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten games by 21 points or more this season.

Stuttgart is also on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-9 record this season. As for Forrest City, they pushed their record up to 11-5 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Stuttgart came up short against Forrest City when the teams last played back in January of 2022, falling 52-48. Can Stuttgart avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
