Recap: Lithia Springs Lions vs. Banneker Trojans
The Lithia Springs Lions's game last Tuesday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 58-37 margin over Banneker. That's another feather in the cap for Lithia Springs, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Amaya Richmond was her usual excellent self, scoring 24 points along with six steals. Another player making a difference was Aires Davis, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds.
Lithia Springs' victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-14. As for Banneker, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 12 of their last 13 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-19 record this season.
Lithia Springs won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Chapel Hill at 6:00 p.m. on February 3rd. As for Banneker, they will head out on the road to face off against Creekside at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Creekside is facing Banneker at the right time seeing as Banneker is stuck on a eight-game losing streak.
