Softball Recap: Nyack Comes Up Short

Nyack extended their losing streak to four on Saturday, dropping their season record down to 6-6 in the process. They lost 10-4 to the Clarkstown North Rams. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since May 2, 2022, but that streak is no more.

As for Clarkstown North, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. Considering they have won seven games by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

For Clarkstown North's part, they got a massive performance out of Madaline Smith, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. That's the most RBI Smith has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Peyton Conti, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Coincidentally, Nyack and Clarkstown North will both be playing Ketcham the next time they take the field. The Red Hawks will host the Storm at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, while the Rams will play them later in the day, at 5:00 p.m.
