Paul VI took a three-set defeat the last time they faced off against Flint Hill, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Panthers won by a set and slipped past the Huskies 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Panthers have posted since October 29, 2024.

Paul VI walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-19, 23-25.

Coco Lewis paced Paul VI's offense, picking up 15 kills. Lewis got some help from Maris Francescon and her 15 assists. Lewis was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

The victory made it two in a row for Paul VI and bumps their season record up to 9-1. As for Flint Hill, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-7.

Coincidentally, Paul VI and Flint Hill will both be playing Fairfax the next time they take the court. The Panthers will head out to face the Lions at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Huskies will play them later in the day, at 10:00 a.m.
