Softball Game Preview: Tolland Eagles vs. Windsor Warriors

The Tolland Eagles will head out to face off against the Windsor Warriors at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles on Thursday. Tolland fell just short of Enfield by a score of 5-3. That makes it the first time this season Tolland has let down their home crowd.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Windsor, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They came out on top against Wethersfield by a score of 6-2 on Friday.

Sydney H made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits (and only one walk). With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 5.6 strikeouts per game. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Aaliyah G, who went 1-for-4 with one home run. Hannah O also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Tolland suffered their first home defeat, dropping their record down to 4-2. As for Windsor, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-8.

Tolland beat Windsor 5-0 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Warriors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
