Basketball Game Preview: Hancock County Hornets vs. Breckinridge County Fighting Tigers

The Hancock County Hornets will head out on the road to face off against the Breckinridge County Fighting Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hancock County is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

Last Tuesday, Hancock County came up short against Apollo and fell 66-54.

Meanwhile, Breckinridge County earned a 70-61 victory over Daviess County on Saturday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Fighting Tigers.

Breckinridge County's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-6. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.0 points over those games. As for Hancock County, their loss dropped their record down to 10-12.

Hancock County was dealt a bruising 76-46 defeat at the hands of Breckinridge County in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. Can Hancock County avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
