Emerson's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Lafayette County, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.

Emerson skirted past Lafayette County 10-9 in their previous meeting back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pirates since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
