Baseball Game Preview: Melbourne Bulldogs vs. Gateway Charter Griffins

The Melbourne Bulldogs will be taking part in a tournament against the Gateway Charter Griffins at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday. Melbourne's pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so Gateway Charter's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Melbourne took a loss when they played away from home last Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They walked away with a 3-0 victory over Bayside.

Meanwhile, Gateway Charter fell victim to Northside Christian and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Mustangs, falling 16-0. The Griffins have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. Gateway Charter's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9.
