North Kingstown hasn't had much luck against Moses Brown recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Skippers will head out on the road to face off against the Quakers at 11:00 a.m. Moses Brown took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on North Kingstown, who comes in off a win.
Having struggled with seven losses in a row, North Kingstown turned things around against Scituate on Friday. They came out on top against the Spartans by a score of 10-6. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Skippers' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Hannah Place made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over 4.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and one run. Those three hits gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Emma Donahue, who went 3-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Riley McHale also deserves some recognition as she scored her first runs of the season.
North Kingstown hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Scituate struck out 12 times.
Meanwhile, Moses Brown faced Westerly in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Quakers came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 14-2. Having soared to a lofty 17 runs in the game before, the Quakers couldn't push the score so high this time.
Moses Brown saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Coco Medeiros, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI.
Moses Brown's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for North Kingstown, their record is now 6-10.
North Kingstown couldn't quite get it done against Moses Brown when the teams last played back in April as they fell 11-7. Can the Skippers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
