The regular season was a success, but the real challenge begins now, in the postseason. This Friday Sage Hill takes on Mojave in the first playoff game of the year. Sage Hill might be a bit distressed seeing as how its point totals have been consistently dropping over the past three games.
Last game was the first rocky defensive outing for Sage Hill this year. It has to be hurting after a devastating 46 - 20 defeat at the hands of Animo Robinson last game. The blowout was painful but not necessarily a surprise as Animo Robinson is ranked 4th in the state, 16 places higher than Sage Hill.
Meanwhile, Mojave has added another blowout to its collection (now totaling six) after its most recent game. The final score between it and Mammoth last week was a 72 - 6 blowout in Mojave's favor.
Sage Hill's defeat dropped it to 6-1 while Mojave's win brought it to 6-2. Mojave is looking to hand Sage Hill its first back-to-back losses of the season. We'll find out if Sage Hill can avoid giving it that satisfaction.
