Softball Recap: Houston Christian Now 9-3 over Last 12 Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Episcopal, Houston Christian was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top against the Concordia Lutheran Crusaders by a score of 8-5. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 8-1 back in February.

The team relied heavily on Maddie Pickett, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those four stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Quincy Zoretic was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Houston Christian is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-10 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.6 runs over those games. As for Concordia Lutheran, their record now sits at 9-8-1.

As of now, neither Houston Christian nor the Crusaders have any future games scheduled.
