Basketball Recap: Ellwood Christian Takes a Loss

Ellwood Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They were dealt a 59-23 loss at the hands of the Marion Rams. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 435th, while the Rams are ranked 178th).

Ellwood Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Marion, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

Ellwood Christian has already played their next game (against Tallassee), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Marion has also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against Demopolis.
