Recap: Cusick Panthers vs. Wellpinit Redskins
This season hasn't been kind to the Cusick Panthers, who are still winless after their fifth game. The New Year welcomed they with a 58-18 whooping from Wellpinit on Saturday. Cusick lost against Wellpinit in their previous head to head back in January of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 2-0 score last time.
It was another big night for Rayah Hill, who scored 22 points along with five steals for Wellpinit. The matchup was Hill's sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Danea Norman , who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 14 rebounds.
Cusick bumped their record down to 0-5 with that loss, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Wellpinit, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cusick will take on Curlew at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Wellpinit and Valley Christian will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Valley Christian is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.
