The Detroit Community Hurricanes will head out on the road to challenge the Detroit Public Safety Academy Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Detroit Community will be strutting in after a win while Detroit Public Safety Academy will be coming in after a loss.

Last Friday, the stars were shining brightly for Detroit Community in a 61-46 victory over Detroit Leadership Academy. The contest marked the Hurricanes' most dominant win of the season so far.

Meanwhile, Detroit Public Safety Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 53-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of Clintondale.

Detroit Public Safety Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Detroit Community, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Detroit Community beat Detroit Public Safety Academy 63-51 in their previous meeting back in February of 2016. The rematch might be a little tougher for Detroit Community since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
