Jordan Branch and Desmond Noird provided fans with a highlight when they connected against South Atlanta. The connection was good for 66 yards, the longest such play in AAAA Region 6A this season.

Chamblee moved up to 66 from 129 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Bulldogs climbed the ranks as a result of a 29-7 win over the Hornets.

Chamblee's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Branch threw for 129 and three touchdowns and Noird had 114 yards receiving. On the ground Branch chipped in 57 yards. Isaac Mitchell helped Chamblee's passing attack out by catching one ball for 15 yards.

Matthew Simon made the biggest impact on defense this week as Allen Johnson's team beat South Atlanta. The 6-foot-0 defensive back grabbed three interceptions.

Chamblee's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Bulldogs feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Branch has thrown for 129 yards and three touchdowns this season, while Noird has three catches for 114 yards. Branch also leads the league in rushing with 57 yards.

Marist was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fifth to second in AAAA Region 6A. Earlier in the week, the War Eagles defeated Therrell 53-0.
