Basketball Recap: Bishop Foley Takes a Loss

Bishop Foley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 39-38 heartbreaker at the hands of the Shrine Catholic Knights. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Ventures this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 50-25 back in January.

Bishop Foley's loss dropped their record down to 0-15. As for Shrine Catholic, the win got them back to even at 8-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bishop Foley will face off against Academy of the Sacred Heart at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Bishop Foley is facing Academy of the Sacred Heart at the right time seeing as Academy of the Sacred Heart is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Shrine Catholic, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Notre Dame Prep at 7:00 p.m.
