Softball Recap: Oswego Comes Up Short

Oswego lost against Auburn last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Bucs fell just short of the Maroons by a score of 6-5.

Oswego saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaelyn Bond, who went 3-for-6 with one run and one double. Lillee Thompson also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

Oswego now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Auburn, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-8.

Coming up, Oswego will welcome East Syracuse-Minoa at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Auburn, they are taking a road trip to challenge Central Square at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Redhawks will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Maroons surely won't give up without a fight.
