Baseball Game Preview: Attica Blue Devils vs. Pavilion Gldn Gophers

The Attica Blue Devils will face off against the Pavilion Gldn Gophers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Attica is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 13 runs on Thursday, they were much more limited against Kendall on Monday. They lost 12-1 to the Eagles. The Blue Devils haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Attica saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Justin Stockweather, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. Stockweather has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times he's played.

Meanwhile, Pavilion made easy work of Letchworth on Monday and carried off a 19-9 win. The victory continues a trend for the Gldn Gophers in their matchups with the Legends: they've now won five in a row.

Pavilion now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Attica, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Attica beat Pavilion 7-2 in their previous meeting back in April of 2023. Will the Blue Devils repeat their success, or do the Gldn Gophers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
