Sebastopol and Union are an even 4-4 against one another since March of 2018, but likely not for long. The Bobcats will host the Yellowjackets at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sebastopol is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.7 runs per game this season.
Sebastopol will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up two runs on Friday, then bounced right back against Forest on Saturday. The Bobcats were the clear victors by a 19-7 margin over the Bearcats. The Bobcats not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since March 22nd.

Lowry Moore was a standout: he scored four runs and stole four bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Mays McDill, who went 3-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and one triple.
Sebastopol kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Forest only managed eight hits.
Meanwhile, Union took on Lake in a bug-themed battle on Saturday. The Yellowjackets lost 14-4 to the Hornets. The defeat continues a trend for the Yellowjackets in their meetings with the Hornets: they've now lost five in a row.
Kooper Fultz made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
Union's loss dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Sebastopol, their victory bumped their record up to 17-5.
Tuesday's match might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Sebastopol has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .466. However, it's not like Union struggles in that department as they've averaged .465. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Sebastopol was able to grind out a solid win over Union when the teams last played back in April of 2024, winning 10-7. Will the Bobcats repeat their success, or do the Yellowjackets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
