Saratoga Central Catholic strolled into their game on Thursday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They were the clear victors by an 8-1 margin over the Mechanicville Red Raiders. Considering the Saints have won 12 matches by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Tyler Weygand made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Weygand was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

In other batting news, Hunter Fales was incredible, going 2-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last six times he's played. Another player making a difference was Jason Pescetti, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Saratoga Central Catholic pushed their record up to 15-0 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for Mechanicville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-5.

Looking ahead, Saratoga Central Catholic will square off against Tamarac at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Saints' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bengals have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season. As for Mechanicville, they will face off against Beekmantown at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
